A li'l like Fionna & Cake but more Princess Bubblegum. Never read a vertical web comic before & there's music. Cute mix of dainty-legged princesses, regular and special that call to mind Pinocchio, Limbo, and Sally Skellington, crossed over with Powerpuff girls in different era dresses (Romantic to Lolita fusions). Hair can look like roses or boa buns, trimmed with Lady Liberty-ish headbands and funeral nets. The royal guards look like block dolls, the king like a pastel-tinged St. Nick and it's so cute how he's friends with the Plaid king like a schoolgirl.

Princess Maria is like Bubbles aged up and with Snow White's animal affinity. The tubby vermin are adorable. Lorena is younger and a bit gangly w/ the epitome of a green thumb. Gwendolyn is like Salad Fingers' daughter, a goblin witch-ish girl who doesn't realize it. Did not expect son James to be such an exhibitionist yet also a pink anime trap, haha. Very cute how Gwen's sort of the fam fav, Adams Family backwards that way.

Yet when they're of age to marry into the Plaid kingdom (uniting the Pastel), the youngest prince is horrified of Gwen, so she runs away, stumbling upon others strange princesses and accidentally becoming part of this secret club (with lore that even involved a "devious sea cucumber")! Truly adorable and there's a good dub by LittleBallOfGiggles on YouTube. Hopefully, we'll find out what happened with the King and late Queen and why they hid the cursed status besides her feelings. ]]>

Slut Vomit 2 by Paige Johnson
"I was hoping for more slut in this part two anthology, but instead I got more vomit.

Or you could say vice versa, because in fact this anthology is neither slutty or vomity. It's kind of quaint and sweet.

I'm certainly not saying I swim in the fetishes and obsessions featured in this collection (I enjoy reading language in its extreme expression. This isn't it). It's that I have a real fondness for anthologies that can be a go-to for readers who are looking for reading erotic, yes, but also the sort of by-now kind-of trite boundary-busting cliche erotica these anthologies all claim to surpass.

Call Slut Vomit erotica you can give to your grandmother, if she's a hard-of-hearing, unrepentant legendary slut of yore."

More YA simple than I’d hoped, an 80s, bro-and-I-was-like-dude stoner comedy when I’d rather the singer/lyricist be a gritty if ironic voice. It’s like Totally Kyle from the Amanda Show plus Russian spy infiltrating though that doesn’t start soon enough for me to stick around for the denude style.

Songs are cute and the foster care backstory
sweet but the pace isn’t doing it for me on top of the cliche MTV movie/doc moments. It’s not Motle Crue or GnR rowdy. There’s a love story with a blonde rock mag groupie girl.

To give an example of the humor, a band member asks for more drugs when captured by the sleeper cell, then air-guitars while looking at the clouds. ]]>

As much as the ridiculous five-figures they think they can get for one bottle of Oxy is, Samantha’s backstory of being caught selling before ratchets tension well. Plus, there’s the will-she-won’t-she with her daughter’s BF as he scampers about the town instead of laying low. Yet all her asking questions and switching locations makes her more sketchy and memorable if someone comes sniffing. But again, it’s one bottle and not like it’s crack. 20% in proves this book will stay crazy, but in a good way.

I’m hopeful to know if Deena rekindles things with her ex husband to get her kids back but that will be in book three I guess. Most of this book is taken up by Sam, then Lettie.

It’s great how Lettie, the obese one, has an episode in the “Wal-Marts, saying how she’d like to turn her husband’s skinny mistress into cubed meat. It got so grizzly and crazy and her later grief and rage and horror at spotting the mistress again are so visceral, so real, all the sweat and panic, and thoughts of all her husband took for granted about their family. Ironic she’s so jealous just of a double-wide her husband may or may not be supporting the other woman in. My hope was that it turns out she’s just the trailer park pass-around and that wasn’t even her house—but something better happens.

I didn’t know Ford encouraged their workers to only drive their brand (makes sense, but I didn’t know they were so ardent about it). Or chemo treatment would make you “secrete out every bodily fluid.

As for humor, that’s still here with the old neighborhood tattle tale who thinks she’s preordained by God and in love with Bob Barker. “She’d be an old, old lady by the time she got sprung from the slammer. She’d be able to play soccer with her titties. Or the guy getting turned on thinking Lettie’s bottom would feel like fillet o fish, what a funny thought.

We’re almost 2/3 in before we see Cierra again, I was starting to think I confused her for Sam. Surprised how much I wind up liking perverted Rex and his interesting family. We find out a decent chunk more about why his wife killed herself—if she did, things are now so intertwined and questionable for everyone in the park.

By the end, I def wanna read book three, guess the quip is ambiguous on purpose for any number of illegal activities. Hope we hear more on Sam’s daughter. Everybody’s backstory was so tragic but in a compelling way. ]]>
