I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy

thebookwasbetter’s first review of the year

I don’t rate memoirs! But holy cannoli I LOVED this book with my whole heart. I want to give Jennette McCurdy the worlds biggest hug. She deserves all of the good things. I have never felt so many emotions while reading a book before. Disgusted, uncomfortable, giddy, excited, optimistic, heartbroken. I grew up watching iCarly like so many others, and to think of all of the things going on behind the scenes in Jeannette’s life is truly so so sad. ...more

okay I get the Freida McFadden hype!! 🙈 this is a thriller I can get behind! I breezed right through it and just when I thought I was going to guess the plot twists, I was fully wrong!! Is this anything crazy, mind blowing? Not necessarily. But I highly recommend for anyone needing a book to get them out of a reading slump, or for anyone trying to get into thrillers!
