I was very intrigued by the idea of connecting a book about mushrooms, a type of being that largely preoccupies itself with the decaying of the dead, and the loss of a loved one. I saw so much potential for metaphor and reflection on ourselves and our obsession with living when, dying is such an important part of life as well. In the past two months while I have been reading this book, I have spent half my time raving about it and the other half sounding smart when I plagiarise it's interesting facts about animals.
