it was amazing
When I first started reading this, I didn't know much about it, only that it was a collection of short stories or novellas, and that they took place in the sixties.
But this book is so much more than that. The first story (with direct ties to the Dark Tower series) is about three kids in the 60's. All the closest of friends. From there, we keep seeing various characters from that story popping up in the remaining stories. Through all the stories, ...more

Having finished it, I really don't know where I stand with this book. I didn't absolutely love it, nor did I dislike it. It just sort of was. Looking back, I'd heard of this book LONG ago. I'd never read it, nor thought of it in recent years. But after talking to my nephew, my wife committed herself to reading it as he LOVED the book. So somehow, we ended up with a second copy and I decided that I too would sit and read it.
