Brian’s first review of the year

it was ok
2.5, not a terrible book. I liked how it gave me a sense of always being weird or slightly off. The idea was interesting and liked the portrayal of a dysfunctional, decaying organization. I want to know how the trilogy finishes but will probably read a synopsis and not the next book. I wouldn’t recommend unless you really loved Annihilation, but then, I suppose you’re already planning on reading this.

Brian’s last review of the year

did not like it
I don’t think I agree with the premise, or accept the evidence, that males and females are in opposition. The entire book/philosophy/whatever seems based on the premise of conflict and game and I don’t think that’s accurate or at least complete.

So that makes pretty much everything not useful or at least only useful if your goal is to be good at “game. So if that is your goal, then I suppose the book will help you.
