Good god is this book long and detailed!

This book is very detailed, very well researched and takes no liberties with the research. It's really a terrific book for the person looking at Stalin who is already at a point where the person can ingest and contextualize everything being thrown at them. For me only knowing the high points of Russian revolutionist history my limits of being able to ingest so much new information limited me. I'm not taking

really liked it
Bush is not the writer that Clinton is (referring to their respective autobiographies) however this is well written and importantly well edited. I didn't feel like I learned many new things and I think that's a testament to the man. Bush was a President that told us what he was thinking during his presidency.

This book captured most of the very important moments of his life and mostly was a fairly interesting read. Though it probably will not flip
