really liked it
Having seen about 15 minutes of the Netflix movie, I was sufficiently interested to stop watching and dive into the book first. What a treat! Expert writing and building of characters. Revealing just enough of the mystery during the progression of the story to keep you wanting to continue on to the next chapter. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. Another great Australian mystery novel, but my first Chris Hammer. Sets the tone perfectly. An excellent read. Slow at times, but stick with it and you won't be disappointed. Absolutely one of the best reads this year. ...more
