Before the Ever After by Jacqueline Woodson

Charlene’s first review of the year

it was amazing
Wonderfully written story about a family who is experiencing a trauma. Without me giving details about the plot, this story was extremely realistic. Some parts made me sad for the main character. I also was delighted to read the effects of this trauma on a child. His feelings were well written in beautiful lyrical prose. One again, great story!!
