The Hike by Lucy Clarke

Jennifer’s first review of the year

really liked it
An excellent listen. Narrator was great, and I was absolutely hooked on all of the characters, which rarely happens for me when a story is told from multiple points of view.
Full of suspense and a couple of really unexpected twists. I thoroughly enjoyed this!

Billionaire's Forbidden Nanny Romance by Sass Green

Jennifer’s last review of the year

it was ok
This isn't my usual genre, and although I'm sure fans of the genre and those who enjoy the billionaire romance tropes, it ultimately feels like a predictable and one-dimensional read. Although there's an attempt to portray the characters as complex, especially Lexi with her musical skills and talent for dealing with difficult children, I found both of them fell flat and were created merely to play these roles in the plot, instead of being two ful ...more
