A world where people live in harmony with their surroundings thanks to the intervention of AI, which inhabits some of the villagers and each village is its own microculture with no need or desire to interact with other villages except to improve the gene pool. Hard to say much more without spoilers. Overall, an interesting concept and book but it finishes before it really gets going, so a longer book would have made more sense than splitting it i ...more
