it was amazing
Man I love these books. Hyper-pigs, conjoiners, ultras, wolves, and shadows. So many players, with their own motivations and goals. Who to trust, who not to? And a truly epic scale to boot. There just aren't many authors today writing at this level. ...more

John’s last review of the year

really liked it
I love Alastair Reynolds books, in general, and I really enjoyed this. But, something was a bit off, though I can't put my finger on it. Maybe it was the general sense of shabbiness or disrepair, maybe I just couldn't relate to the Ness sisters, I don't know.

It is a good book, and I fully intend to get the third installment soon. ...more
