I like this so far but it’s taking me a long time to get through since I haven’t been in the mood for it. The story is fascinating and the characters are compelling but maybe it’s because academia and historical are not my favorite sub-genres?? I’m sad because I’ve heard so many amazing things about this series.

Finally getting to reading this!! Doing paired audio and eyeballing so I can get all the Finnish names and language right.

The witty quips in this book just don’t stop! And the audiobook narration is absolutely phenomenal

What is it that Emily Henry puts in her books that hooks me by chapter 3 and then forces me to not stop until I’m finished??

I can definitely see where the claims that this author may have some more conservative leanings originate. There are just enough little critiques about the “old world� that is supposed to be today that make me go 🤔

I just can’t help comparing this to Fourth Wing - it’s just too similar and not as good :/

Hmm, this is…interesting so far. Not bad but also not good yet? Thankful I read a handful of reviews first because it was good that I lowered my expectations going in or I’m not sure I would continue. We’ll see how it goes
