I grew up in a house with four kids so am familiar with the ways siblings move in and out of each other’s lives and also have conflicting perceptions of their own family. Those were the very early ideas that eventually led to Chloe and Nicky. I’m really glad you enjoyed the read. Of my other novels, The Wife, The Ex, and Find Me might scratch that same itch (which I myself happen to share, of course).

No plans for that right now. I know readers are frustrated by this, but books rarely tell the reader everything that happens in the lives of the characters until the end of time. I told the beginning, middle, and end of the story I wanted to tell. No spoilers, but the title of the book is a hint to its arc. I think it's a great discussion for a book group about what happens later.

It will happen someday. Part of the change was my move to New York; I wasn't living and breathing Portland anymore and wanted the books to do precisely that. And telling a story from the perspective of a prosecutor has some limitations. I do hope readers will want to get back in touch with her when the time is right. Thanks!
