D.B. Tait I have no idea. I'm writing a series so the main characters in Desperate Deception were in Cold Deception, but the main plot just fell into my head.
D.B. Tait Mostly I don't. I struggle with procrastination everyday, so inspiration is something I can't rely on. I disconnect the modem before I go to bed at night and put it in another room to my computer. That allows me to write as soon as I get up without the distraction of the internet. I have to make a conscious decision to re-connect it, not just drift onto the inter webs and wonder where the time went.
D.B. Tait Fatal Deception, Book 3 in the Dark Mountain series. There's a forensic psychologist, a narcissistic psychopath and a rather likeable serial killer.
D.B. Tait Write. Don't wait for the muse, or the right time of day or the right set up in your office (if you have one). Just write. I'm giving this advice to myself too.
D.B. Tait I can do it at home in crappy comfortable clothes and not worry about what the rest of the world thinks. It's also cool to create stories and characters so I can get lost in their worlds.
D.B. Tait With great frustration. Usually it means there is a flaw in the story, either in what I've already written or in what I envisage. I have to go back or rethink what I've done. Getting away from the work for awhile helps.
