Don't give up and don't discount indie publishing. It's easier than ever to get published right now, that doesn't mean you'll sell millions of copies of your first book, but it's so much more accessible especially for anyone attempting to publish who doesn't have access to lots of money to publish. I publish through Amazon for free, but there are others out there as well.

Try to do bullet points for where you want the story to go and then just struggle through it. The best way to beat it is to just keep plunking away even if it's only a hundred words at a time.

Being able to create worlds and put your ideas down in a creative way. Having the ability to influence people in even a small way with writing. I truly believe entertainment is important, but more important is the type of entertainment, what you feed yourself is important so what we create for others to consume is important.

The sequel to Hunting Death is my main writing project, but I'm also creating more coloring books. I keep feeling the tug to work on my fantasy novel but I want to wrap up my Hunting Death storyline first. It will be at least a trilogy, if not a short series.

I honestly cannot remember a time in my life where I didn't want to write. I've always loved the written word and stories in general. Books, movies, shows, games all forms of storytelling really, so I guess the best answer would just be being read to as a young child. My Mom read to us, my Dad read to us, my older siblings even read us books. It was my first form of entertainment really. I grew up on an old homestead a ways from town, for the first 5 years or more it was off grid and we only had a generator for power. We would start it up to watch a vhs here and there, but mostly we read books.
I fell in love with mysteries as I got older, when we got power and computers were getting more accessible my siblings and I started playing Nancy Drew Games and my family watched Agatha Christie's Poirot with David Suchet (I've seen it millions of times and it never gets old, such a great actor) we also watched Murder She Wrote. The idea of being a writer just sort of felt right after awhile.
