I like to listen to music and watch movies. One of my favorite challenges is to watch a crazy film director or musician and ask myself how can I push the genre of writing in a way analogous to these people. Whether I acheived it or not is always going to be up for debate but a lot of times the challenge is inspiring and exciting

I've been working on this book slowly for over four years. The concept came later. My next book(s), I already have the story for and concept for. So its not always the story comes before the concept. Sometimes the dog wags the tail and sometimes the tail wags the dog.

Hmmm that's a good question. Possibly Haruki Murakami's world because the way he describes things is so tender and gentle. Either that or maybe H.P. Lovecraft where the aliens are these old gods completely apathetic to our existence.
