Thanks for your question, Gary. It's good to hear from you. I would say the event that sparked my success was when I started writing mystery thrillers. My first 6 books were science fiction novels and at that point I became interested in the mystery genre. I developed a key character: John (J.T.) Ryan and I've now written 5 of those thrillers. My Ryan based novels (such as SKYFLASH, FBI CODE RED, THE MEDIA MURDERS, and a few others) have done extremely well. Ryan is a private investigator who does work for the FBI.

I have several mystery thrillers on my summer reading list. They are The Hit by David Baldacci and Black List by Brad Thor. In addition to this I'm currently writing my 13th novel, a new J.T. Ryan thriller, which will be published in the Fall of 2017.
