Gareth Russell I grew up on stories of the "Titanic," so I suppose in many ways it was a project delayed. My great-grandfather, Thomas, and my great-grandmother, Elizabeth, to whom the book is dedicated, were children in Edwardian Belfast who told me vivid stories of the city in 1912 and the impact the "Titanic" disaster on the people. I am also interested in the feeling of an end to an era, so combining the "Titanic" to open a window into a dying way of life seemed like an interesting combination.
Gareth Russell I think it would have to be Narnia, because I grew up on this stories. I'd take tea at Mr Tumnus's and visit Cair Paravel. They were stories I absolutely adored.
