2017 was a year filled with complications that left me too mentally exhausted to even think about writing. But I knew I had to. Even if it meant five words, I had to write something every day. So that's what I did. For months, I wrote anywhere from a single sentence to a page a day, keeping the story fresh and moving--albeit lethargically--along. It really helped. By autumn, the wordcount had increased and I was almost back to doing it the way I used to. I finally finished the book I'd been working on for over a year.
