Hello Siera, I have not read either of your books yet but I'm interested in finding out if they're about teens coming out? I'm a high school librarian and we have a LGBT Club at my school. I'm always on the look out for books that would be helpful.
Siera Maley Hi!
Most of my books aren't really about teens coming out - I try to write stories where the fact that the character is gay isn't the big conflict of the novel. That said, Dating Sarah Cooper, On the Outside, and Taking Flight do take place in high schools and deal with what it's like to be a teen lesbian.

Hi! Love your books. Only recently discovered them (from reading Dating Sarah Cooper) and they are great. I read quite a lot so finished them all in about a week...and itching for more :) Any ideas when the next is planned for? Thanks!
Siera Maley Hi there! Looking back, I tend to release books about 6-9 months apart so that's my best guess as to what my pace would continue to be, but beyond that I'm not sure when the next one would come out. I released my last book in March so just based on that I'd probably release one sometime between September and November! Sorry I don't have a better answer!

Taking Flight was a masterpiece :) also, do you plan on writing books with older ( 20-25 years old ) main characters ?
Siera Maley Thank you! And yes! I'm not sure when exactly I'll write it but at some point I definitely want to do something with college-aged characters.

I've recently discovered your books and I find them to be utterly fantastic. In the last week I've read three of them, and I've got a fourth on the way. Do you plan on ever writing any sequels to any of your books? Also, I was wondering what other lesbian romance novels you've enjoyed and would recommend?
Siera Maley No sequels have been planned, mostly because I wrote all of my books pretty far in advance before publishing them so I would be going back years to try and get into the headspace of those characters. Some of my favorites are "The Gravity Between Us", "The Summer I Wasn't Me", and "The Miseducation of Cameron Post". I would especially recommend "The Summer I Wasn't Me" if you liked the movie But I'm a Cheerleader, because it reminded me a lot of that movie.

Will you ever be doing a sequel to books or do you prefer them stand alone. The ending to taking flight felt rushed and would love a follow up?
Siera Maley So far, all of my books are stand-alones, but I am considering a series! Cammie and Lauren's story was left in an open-ended spot where I wanted to leave them, primarily because I wasn't looking to tell a coming out story so much as just a character growth story independent of that.
