This mystery is in MY life exactly. But, it relates to my father. Like many men who fought in World War II, he never talked much about the Great War. I knew he was in the SeaBees in Europe. He had photos from VE Day in Paris, so I knew he was there when the Allies declared victory. Recently, my brother shared a story that he'd heard from my grandmother -- that my father was present at the Normandy invasion. Wow. Since my father, mother and grandparents are gone, I might never know the details of my father 's service, but solving the mystery could be the start of a great plot for a book.
