For goal setting and dream weaving, here are a few of my insights for 2010 for the astrological signs although I am not an astrologer. ÌýInÌýthe Chinese astrology it is considered aÌýMental Tiger year starting February 2010.Ìý

2010 will be a mentally active year full of ideas but not necessarily with ending results. Don't fret if your ideas seem to be put on hold or not yielding what you thought they would. 2010 is a...

New Year's Candle Lighting Ritual

I do a candle lighting ritual on New Year's Eve (also can be done on New Year's Day). The ritual follows a process of releasing the passing year (see blog below) by writing lists:Ìýa
thank you to my patron goddess, Juno, for the blessings received; to releas the passing year's lost battles and disappointments; and lessons learned through these experiences.ÌýI then burn blessings first and then releasingÌýin my cauldron. Lessons'
list is kept in my book of shadows as a reminder in the coming...

A Blue Moon will grace the skies this
New Year's Eve throughout many places on planet earth.Ìý The moon really won't turn blue,
(although on rare occasions it has taken on a blue hue), it's a figure of

a blue moon isÌýnot very oftenÌýsince aÌýsecond-full-Moon-in-a-monthÌýrarely occurs. In fact the last

and is the shortest day of the year. From ancient times, worldwide and in all
cultures, this day has been celebrated as a turning point—a point of change
from increasing and lengthening darkness to increasing and lengthening light.
In many cultures Winter Solstice was celebrated as the birthday of the Sun.
People...

Heartland Welcomes Skye

Illinois October Book Tour continues.( See "Chi-Town" book
event below.)

By early afternoon Sheree and I , once again hit the road, for the nextÌý Ìýbook event. Bracing against Chicago's chill wind we made our way to the train station, suitcases rolling along
behind. I like train rides with the changing scenery and stops along the way. Traveling south from Chicago a the small town of Joliet I searched the station for suspicious characters; it being a prison point. No one worth...
