REVIEW: ASIAN STORE JUNKIES (Esensja, Poland)
“You can also see in this story - why not - a metaphor of modern society. () During the first reading, Berliac’s comic can shock, surprise and confuse. Iconoclastic humor, absurd adventures, grotesque heroes, flavored with encyclopedic information about the mythical sodium glutamate create a surreal mix, which you have to get used to before you can become addicted to it. Only then can one slowly begin to see the the underlying message in this story, a radical social criticism abundant in irony and satire.

REVIEW: Sadbøi (Kolorowe Zeszyty, Poland)
“The Argentine author raises extremely important issues: Why do members of an immigrant community could feel no need to assimilate to the broader population? The author stays on the side, doesn’t casually throw in opinions, does not force his point of view on the reader. We must search for answers by our own means. Berliac does not shy away from difficult topics like pedophilia, or homosexual relationships inside prisons. The whole is bold and honest. “Sadbøi is an important voice in a public dispute about the role and responsibilities of States which welcome immigrants.
