If they change the text size it will affect page count :) I just finished the 2021 version and it was 750 pages :0(less)

I ready it as a high school love story, and loved that it was - what I, as a German Gen-Xer - think of as quite-essentially American - rather than a horror novel.
While there is gore, I personally didn't think it is particularly scary. Not like, say, IT.(less)

Stella Rosa Key theme is obsession. I don't think there's a moral of the story only because of the supernatural elements tied into it.

One could argue and say the moral of the story is what obsession can do to people and how it can transform them. But for Arnie the obsession was tied to Roy's ghost inhibiting him and the car. (less)
