Hi all, I read this book many many years ago and can't entirely remember, but would this story be suitable for a 12 year old girl?

I want to recommend this book to my friends on a car ride with their middle school daughter and high school son. But I read it so long ago. Is it appropriate for this age?

Linda I think so. Reminded me of a Nickelodeon episode at first but evolved into a fun listen.
