Can I read this book without the 1st and 2nd books??

Kirby You can, but as someone who has read all three books, I wouldn't recommend it.

What time period is this book set during? The description and opening chapter make it sound like it's a Regency-era setting, but the cover art features a Victorian-era maid outfit and a 20th century suit/handguns, so I'm lost.

KT This book is purely fantasy so I don't think there's much in the way of historic accuracy in here, but I would guess it's supposed to be roughly set iâ€¦m´Ç°ù±ðThis book is purely fantasy so I don't think there's much in the way of historic accuracy in here, but I would guess it's supposed to be roughly set in a fantasy Victorian era. I honestly can't remember if the Queen is ever named in these books, but they do mention Princess Louise, and there was a Princess Louise who was a daughter of Queen Victoria. (less)
