True. I want to point out that Rhett always knew what the circumstances of his actions would be and
was prepared to accept them or thought he was. Scarlet on the other hand probably didn't even know what the word meant. She didn't have a clue about such things. In retrospect, this brought out his protective instincts and he was such a strong, smart man he was the perfect foil to take care of her, if she had had any sense. But like you have all agreed she was raised wrong to have any.
