Gareth, thanks to you, I made a little "pilgrimage" to Thomas Andrews' former home, off the Lisburn Road, the last time we were in Belfast. I found it very moving to see his home, and stand on the pavement where he might have waved a last goodbye to his wife and daughter. Thank you for your wonderful contribution to Titanic scholarship ...
It's a lovely spot, isn't it? I live nearby and on the evening I finished editing the book, I strolled over too - a pilgrimage of sorts! And thank you very much, Maura, that's deeply kind of you to say so.
