Allynn Riggs Ha! I understand about believing I, as the writer, am in control until the characters prove otherwise. I get a scene written just the way I want and the characters show up in dreams to straighten me out. They stay in my dreams until I correct 'my mistake'.

David Staniforth I like that, and identify with it. I often read over what I wrote in my last session. Sometimes it's great and I move on with the story. Often though, something just doesn't feel right, and it's like the character in question is resisting the direction I'm trying to take them.

C.S. Crook I had my characters resisting where I wanted them to go go badly that I finally caved in to them and then my story just took off. I had a character show up in a story, and I'm like, "Where the hell did you come from?" To make a long story short he took over the story and stole the girl.
