I really enjoyed this one! SO fun and snarky and Southern :) I love Rachel Hawkins鈥� writing--her humor, intense situations, and twisty plots are amazing! I adored the characters in this book--ALL of them :) I liked the premise, too--the idea of the Paladins, Oracles, and Mages. And the kick-butt, nail-biting action was awesome! I especially loved the opening scenes at Homecoming--intense, fantastic, and SO funny!

I also liked the romance in this book--I loved both Ryan and David. Interesting and I really enjoyed this one! SO fun and snarky and Southern :) I love Rachel Hawkins鈥� writing--her humor, intense situations, and twisty plots are amazing! The ending of this book was CRAZY! I was very surprised about (view spoiler)! This should create some VERY interesting directions for the next book to go--I鈥檓 SO excited to find out what happens next! I was kind of expecting there to be a bit more (view spoiler), so I was kind of surprised we didn鈥檛 get anything there--yet anyway. I also thought it was kind of a neat twist (view spoiler) and VERY unexpected and refreshing.

Overall, I loved the kick-butt action, strong female lead, great Southern setting, wonderful love interests, sweet romance, and laugh-out-loud humor鈥攁nd some great supporting characters and awesome situations :) What a wonderful, fun read!!

There鈥檚 not much in the way of content in this book, except for quite a lot of implied mature language (Harper and gang always say 鈥渆ffing,鈥� 鈥渆fffed,鈥� 鈥淔-word,鈥� etc., which is often hilarious, but sometimes the real words are definitely implied and assumed to have been spoken, even though they aren鈥檛 expressly written). And, there鈥檚 no sexual content beyond some kissing/making out and some very vaguely implied past sexual activity/discussions.

What I loved about this book is that I laughed a lot. This is definitely one funny but super-kick ass book! Don't let the girly cover fool you! It just had the right mix of everything in one beautiful package. And the characters are adorable!! I love the dynamic between Harper and David, even though their whole life was just their own versions of tugging on each other's hairs to hide the fact that they've been crushing on each other for their whole life! So this book was amazing..

I absolutely adored this book so much!
I knew I was going to like it but I didn't know I was going to love it this much!

While reading this book in my mind it was like a romantic comedy TV show in my head.

I don't think I've ever read a book that made me laugh this much. This book was freaking hilarious!!

I really liked this book and the ending was kind of perfect, not really as an ending, but as the beginning of the series, those who have read it will probably get what I mean. It was funny, witty and the main character reminded me of Lemon in Hart of Dixie. I had fun reading it, though it was not one of those books that I couldn't put down until the last few chapters. I am definitely looking forward to this series, and though this book was good, I have high expectations for the next one, I hope ...more
