Right after the first part, I had to read the second because I was terribly curious as how Rebecca would react to her new and precarious situation. Nicholas Stonehaven acts like a cocky slaver towards her, but she never gives up. It was so funny and exciting to read about Nick's mission to rile her up. Volume 2 picks up with Rebecca starting her first week as Nicholas's assiatant and Nock is determined to he her to quit, but despite throwing everything from sending her blocks awaya for coffee, dog walking , picking up dry cleaning and just being a general pain in the ass , Rebecca is not giving in she is determined to las the 6 months to get her dream job.
Unfortunately for Rebecca, the attraction between them does not die off and Nick has upped his game, he can not stop thinking of her, so th Volume 2 picks up with Rebecca starting her first week as Nicholas's assiatant and Nock is determined to he her to quit, but despite throwing everything from sending her blocks awaya for coffee, dog walking , picking up dry cleaning and just being a general pain in the ass , Rebecca is not giving in she is determined to las the 6 months to get her dream job.
Unfortunately for Rebecca, the attraction between them does not die off and Nick has upped his game, he can not stop thinking of her, so the new plan; have Rebecca once get her out of your system so he can settle into his fate of marrying someone he does not like or love.
Nick is stressed and since his father will not let him beg of of this marriage to Alison , if he does he looses everything , he confides in his best freind Tristan that he does not want marry Alison and the fact his father is pushing him into it , and that having Rebeccaaround is only making it harder because he wants her, so Tristan suggest tha he tll his father , he does not want Alison but is intrested in someone else . Nicholas though , is quick to deny that what he feels for Rebecxa is anything more than lust , Tristan, warns him tha he will find a way to prove to him that what he is feeling for Rebecca is more than he thinks.
Rebecca and Nick are still aging a battle of wits at the office but a gala event will change the dynamic between them, Nick demands that she accompan him to the Gala since she is the one who added it to his calendar , e has ourposesly avoided it for five years , it was his brothers favorite Charity. The night at the Gala , allows Rebeccato see the other side of Nick , the hurt man that is hidden under his arrogant demeanor. Rebecca's desire to kee Nick and her out of the paper,s and the paparazzi cause her to be inventive in keeping Nick unseen in the drunken state he has gotten himself to cope with his feeling at the Gala and her being inventive leads to a very hot balcony scene !
One drunken night , leads to a wicked hangover, waking up to a fianc茅 he hates and wondering how the hell he got home till it all starts coming back to him, which leads Nick to want to apologize .
It is hard to apologize and check on your assistant when she s not in the office . Fortunately a call from a sales associate a the fanous upscale lingerie store " Demure" advising him a lady friend wishes to use his account leads him to Rebecca( a huge misunderstanding on the sales girls part) , but the image of Rebecca in that lingerie will be burnt in his reitna's fr quit a while.
Rebecca! Runs with embarrassment ,but it does not stop Nick form trying to reach out to her for the rest of th weekend andby Monday t all comes to a boil, and days later Tristan gets his chance to rove his point to Nick, a dance with Rebecca and a salacious kiss earns him a punch orr two in the face from Nick and prices his point!

Yes I droned on, told you a lot of the story line but there is so much more , I could not put this down and the story only gets better! ...more
