Loved this one, it had all, suspense, adventure, romance, passion. Still my favourite book in the series. If you have not read this one, do yourself a favour and get a copy and read it, it is great!!
I may have high-balled the rating on this one but the last 100 pages were awesome so the lingering affects from that are pushing me to the 4 star rating.
The beginning was a little slow but for a first in a series it was pretty good. The back story was interesting and a fresh new take on vampires is always welcome in my eyes.
Lucan was awesome and stupid all at the same time! He infuriated me with his swip-swap attitude. But in the end he made the right decision.
I hope to see more of Gabrielle ...more

I love this different take on vampires and how they came to be (the Breeds and Rogues who are descended from aliens who crashed on earth and couldn't digest normal food but were able to drink human blood)
Lucan and Gabby's story is intriguing and sexy. The other part of the story is how Lucan and the other Breed warriors hunt down their Rogue counterparts, the vampires gone bad.
I hope the rest of the series continues to be as good. ...more
