This short story, Pancakes, is part of book 2 of the Administration series by Manna Francis, Quid Pro Quo, but it's so much delicious goodness bundled into only 37 pages, that it completely deserves being mentioned separately on ŷ.

I loved every single word of this story.
From a drunken Toreth mess to warm, intimate morning sex. Something changed and shifted in Warrick and Toreth’s “regular fuck� relationship, which pleasantly surprised one and terrified the other.

Ammmmmmaaaazing. Love, love, love this series. It might be my favorite m/m series or at least in the top 5.
Here is a word I thought I'd never use in a sentence with Toreth: adorable. In this story Toreth appear to be so very human - even vulnerable. He has a weakness that he doesn't want to admit to himself, so he runs the other way... and fast.
We learn a lot about Warrick in this short story. Things that make him even more loveble in my eyes. He is a fascinating mix of power and tenderness. He is very smart and that is going to be a big help for him when dealing with Toreth. And who in his/her right ...more

I didn't remember this was actually the first short after two massive worldbuilding novella's. I feel thrown in the deep end a bit brusquely. my heart quickly catches up as we see them thwirl thwirl...closer and closer.
I never noticed how strong Warrick was the first time around. i was so focused on Toreth, feels like i cut W short cause Keir is the rock, the strong force that drags Toreth in. aww so sweet a story...so cute the tentative steps Toreth allows himself. bless them
