RE-READ 2020
Yeah, this one wasn't any better this time around. Nope, let's move on, shall we?
Well, this was different...
I knew something was going on with Cele, just didn't think it was Dillian and specifically Dillian getting her all hot and bothered.
At first, I thought she was lying about 7 inches, but it sounds like she actually did have a roll in the hay with Toreth.
She is a stitch and it's always a good time when she's around.
But what she sees in Dilly is puzzling.

I'm just so damn pleased that it's not Toreth doing the fucking for once, and it might just might deter either Dillian or Cele from indulging in seven inches in the future.
So have at it girls, I'm not that bothered with either of you, so really... be my guest, shag away. ...more

Ok. It's official. I don't like Dillian one little bit.

If I have to mention one story by the inestimable Manna Francis that I found rather meh, this would be it.
It focuses on Dillian and Cele gossiping about aunts, uncles, cushions and Toreth. The latter I enjoyed, since I savior every tiny tidbit about this man that I can get. And Dillian provided a pretty amusing and accurate description of him: "He's probably clinically disturbed, he beats Keir up and he kills people for a living. Oh, and he screws around like a tomcat on testosterone."

Wine, Women, and Cushions is an entertaining peek into the lives of Dillian and Cele. The sidekicks take center stage in a giggly gossip session filled with friendship, flirting, passion, wine, and more.
I like Dillian and Cele—especially Cele. In many ways, she could be a female Toreth. She can fill a room and conversation with such strength, attitude, and energy. But I prefer these ladies in small doses.
A fun, quick tale that provided some juicy tidbits, gossip, and confirmation on Seven Inches ...more

I like Dilli and I like Cele. But I kind of liked them apart.

To all my GR buddies who loved this book: I implore you! Please, please, please ... don't hate me ... and, take your mouse off the unfriend button. Please!
*sigh* I'm DNF'ing this book. *squirms at the collective gasp* I know. I wish it weren't true but I am. I can honestly say that I recognize the brilliance of Manna Francis' work. I do. Truly. And, I am happy that this series has brought joy to so many. Unfortunately, it's just not for me. I wish it were. ...more

It's not that I don't like Cele and Dilly. Because I do. I especially like Cele. I have to say though, their story missed some spice, eh? I mean...maybe I've just come to expect it in these stories b/c Toreth is a whore. All that wine, all those cushions and lots of lack luster conversation that leads too...well i guess we will just have to use our imaginations....

How about no? I like Cele and I don't really like Dillian - and it simply didn't work for me. I was fishing for Toreth and Warrick related mentions, that's all. I know, shame on me.

Not interested. And Dillian is annoying. And biased. Not that I am not biased, but it's still irritating.
