A collection of fascinating, if now dated, case studies this neurologist dealt with. At the time he wrote, of course, none of the terms he used were offensive, and in fact the now offensive terms were technical, but be warned, words like retarded and idiot appear. Nevertheless, these accounts are fascinating.

A wonderful exploration of the human brain through patients that Dr. Sacks, a neurologist, has treated. Dr. Sacks sees the person, not the disease or damage. I wish there were a follow up because we have learned much about the brain since the late 80’s when this was published.
