This is a wonderful book. Read it and be a part of humanity.

The author, Hisham Martar, a prize winning author of fiction, recounts his father life, arrest, and uncertain fate in this book. Matar’s father Jarballa Matar was an officer in King Idris government. After the fall of Idris’s government due to the rise of Guaddafi, Jarballa served as a diplomat. Eventually he became very disenchanted with Guaddafi’s dictatorship. He left the government and began using his wealth to plot Guaddafi’s overthrow.
