I feel torn about this book.

Opinion 1:

Every living organism with a human brain needs to read this book. If we were all more aware of our heuristics, it would be a win for the human race. There is scarcely a more important subject for the masses to digest and understand. It would certainly help us communicate with one another in more effective ways. Psychologist Daniel Kahneman:
"The self that makes decisions in your life is usualy the remembering one. It drags your current self around in pursuit of new memories, anticipating them based on old memories. The current self has little control over your future. The current self is happy when experiencing things. It likes to be in the flow.

It is the remembering self that has made all the big decisions. It is happy when you can sit back and reflect on your life up to this point and feel content. ..

Interesting book, some chapters/scenarios felt like the "is he talking about me?" experience. I found the book entertaining and thought provoking as many books on how we think are... probably a book I will go back to from time to time to think about how some decisions I've made or perceptions I have were influenced or formed. ...more

facinating of our brain is treating us, in a way yo protect us, but on the other, we need to be very careful where it takes us
