I so badly wanted to like this book more than I actually did. But in reality I was quite disappointed. There were certain essays that I thought were fabulous, but others fell flat and it simply felt like I was reading the personal musings of a teenager writing about Twilight in her online blog.
Loved this collection of essays from Roxane Gay. I only really knew Gay from her Twitter feed, and from the buzz I'd heard here and there from friends and colleagues. This exceeded my expectations -- I love Gay's intersectional brand of "bad feminism."
