Finished this up a little bit late for book club, but not because I wasn't enjoying it. I think it was very well-written and kept my interest. I loved how the layers to the plot and each character were revealed over time (although at times I would've like more information, delivered more quickly - this book was suspenseful and kept me engaged, not like Dan Brown [where I'm ravenously speeding through page after page] but more thoughtfully [although at the end I was on the edge of my seat]).

Magnificent tale told eloquently, with feeling and passion. Another win for JKR!
Loved it. Easy writing. Great setting.
Great mystery, very visual
I really enjoyed this whodunit, actually much more than I expected. Our sleuth, Strike, was believable and like able, while all the other characters came to life as well. The mystery kept me guessing up to the very end too. I loved it!
An excellent, well-written, well-formed mystery. The plot was awesome, the characters well made and interesting, the mystery tricky and cool, and like, there was that JKR thing where every sentence I read just made me want to read the next sentence. What a good book!
