this was sweet and fun and i really enjoyed it.
i love chase's development, and this whole premise in general. amnesiac bully who has to come to terms to his identity? incredible.
although i don't remember all that much of the plot, i remember the protagonist's realistic but heartwarming character arc and the emotions that the story made me feel.
gordon korman's middle-grade writing is really excellent. it's simple and understandable, but there's surprising emotional maturity. chase really is a com ...more

This book is absolutely, hands down one of the most amazing books I have EVER read. I love the believable characters, the hunger, and the knowledge that one can change! I love everything about this book! Finished it in a day! I cannot recommend this book highly enough.
Loved it. My mom got mad at me for reading it at the table. I don’t know why, but I just love books like this. READ IT!!!! I thought I wouldn’t like it, I just wanted a book to read, but I was so into it I looked if the author had more books yet!
pretty good for a middle-grade's book. i don't usually read middle-grades anymore but i saw this book at a friend's house and picked it up. it was actually pretty good, 3.5 rounded up. it was interesting, and i really liked the concept.
