Okay, why is the second book not in my hands immediately after the ending this book gave me?? I mean, that was just stupid on my part not to be prepared, but in my defense!, her other books didn't have cliffhangers.

Fable is a sea based adventure with vivid, sense-tingling descriptions and deep, endearing characters.

The world building had me entrenched in a booming trader and laborer, poor and prosperous, survival world with biases and mistrust and specialty guilds, and a tad of fantasy with the gem mage powers of the mc Fable and her mother.

The romance is subtle鈥� until it wasn鈥檛, with a friends/trust build up and a satisfying, unique first kiss that had me squealing and squirming with delight. *sigh*

First off let me say...I love that the main character's name is Fable! Let's see, what else did I like about the book? How about everything!

Fable was abandoned by her father on some roughneck island where she dives to collect pyre so she can sell it. She wants nothing more than to prove to her father that she can handle life on the seas even though he told her she couldn't. As she keeps hiding money she is making from others on the island, she knows her time is short, and she will have to leave ...more

I was bored. It took this long for a journey. It is a very slow story. And it鈥檚 not even world building that took so long. Just unnecessary nonsense.
