I don’t know what I was expecting but it was not this. I really liked it overall. The world building is incredible, and do I need to mention the absolute exquisite enemies to lover trope? Let’s just applaud the scenes where Jude puts a dagger at Cardan’s throat. I don’t have much to say for this one, I didn’t find anything to dislike and besides the world building and some very interesting characters I don’t know what else to praise.

As for the characters I LOVED Jude, I really admire her. She c

What I knew going into this book: Enemies-to-lovers, morally gray protagonist, Cardan has a tail..?

Yes, he actually has a tail...but I will pretend he doesn't.

Cardan and Jude are an ACTUAL enemies-to-lovers and I'm glad it drags way longer than the first book. It shows how to actually progress a relationship from such extremes. They actually hate each other and it's believable from each party's side. Jude hates Cardan because he's arrogant, takes advantage of people, makes spectacles at the exp

This book was recommended to me by so many of you that I had to read it. I haven't read much fantasy books in my life and those that I did, weren't appealing to me at all, therefore I was a bit sceptical at the beginning. The first third of the book didn't enthuse me but I continued anyway. About a halfway through it really started to interest me and by the twist at the end, I was completely astonished! ...more

This book was amazing, I fell in love with it. The world was very beautiful and if it existed in real life I would definitely want to visit the faerie lands. The characters were wonderful, Jude and Cardan’s bickering and sarcasm really highlighted my reading experience. As I love when characters as very sarcastic and witty.

I also loved following them on their journey. I never really knew what to expect next while I was reading. As if shocked my time and time again with what was happening and how

This book didn’t live up to the hype for me. For a beginning of a trilogy it was good. I enjoy the characters of Jude and Vivi. I even enjoyed Madoc. As the story progressed and more of the action happened the coronation celebrations were well done. I will read the rest of the trilogy as I need to know how Jude’s story evolves.

This series has been sitting on my shelf for a while, I did feel like it was a slow start but it got me very interested towards the end! All in all I enjoyed this book and am excited to start the next book!!
