A lot of people don't like the political things about this book, but I love it. I thought it would be heavily comprised of judge and Cardan, but I am ok with that. I love Cardan鈥檚 siblings. It only took me a day to read it.

tenia SUPER pendiente este libro. no se porque hasta ahora lo leo porque tiene literalmente todo lo que tiene que tener un libro para que me guste. un mundo fant谩stico de seres fe茅ricos, distintas cortes, disputas pol铆ticas en cuanto a monarqu铆a y enemies to lovers. si despu茅s de leer esto no te convenc铆 de leer este libro no se que te va a convencer. igualmente llegue a un punto en el que me di cuenta de que cualquier libro de fantas铆a me va a gustar porque es de fantas铆a. no puedo pedir mas qu tenia SUPER pendiente este libro. no se porque hasta ahora lo leo porque tiene literalmente todo lo que tiene que tener un libro para que me guste. un mundo fant谩stico de seres fe茅ricos, distintas cortes, disputas pol铆ticas en cuanto a monarqu铆a y enemies to lovers. si despu茅s de leer esto no te convenc铆 de leer este libro no se que te va a convencer. igualmente llegue a un punto en el que me di cuenta de que cualquier libro de fantas铆a me va a gustar porque es de fantas铆a. no puedo pedir mas que eso.
adentr谩ndome un poco en el libro voy a decir que el mundo fant谩stico que crea me gust贸 mucho. no es nada muy innovador pero esta bien construido y te cautiva. lo que mas me suele gustar de leer un libro fant谩stico es justamente el mundo que el autor decide crear, y este me gust贸 mucho e incluso me dejo con ganas de saber mas.
jude me cay贸 bastante bien, es un personaje bastante gris. tiene su complejidad y su evidente evoluci贸n en todo el libro. los personajes secundarios me resultaron un poco que no me van ni me vienen. est谩n ah铆 y son un complemento de una situaci贸n o personaje mas relevante. cardan me gust贸, siento que no fue tan relevante hasta la segunda mitad del libro en donde el se convierte en un pe贸n en el juego de Jude. espero con ansias leer mas sobre el en el segundo libro.
la trama esta muy bien, es coherente y aunque no me sorprendi贸 necesariamente en ning煤n momento, logre disfrutarla. seguir a Jude en un camino que al principio parece mas bien controlado para que luego las cosas se vayan complicando hasta el punto en el que concluye el libro. son simples pasos, estrategias y peque帽os descubrimientos los que van construyendo la historia de la mano de Jude.
hay dos cosas que no me gustaron. la primera fue el romance entre Jude y Cardan. no me maten. no es que no disfrute de ellos juntos, porque las pocas escenas en las que se enfrentaban me encantaron. mi problema fue cuando realmente dieron el siguiente paso, cuando Cardan le confiesa a Jude que no puede dejar de pensar en ella y pasa lo que pasa. me pareci贸 un poco abrupto como pasan del inminente odio a desearse? no es que este mal, pero me hubiesen metido mas escenas juntos, mas desarrollo en su relaci贸n o simplemente lo hubiesen dejado para el segundo libro en donde las piezas ya est谩n puestas y solo queda moverlas. lo segundo no es algo que no me haya gustado necesariamente pero si que me aburri贸 un poco. la primera parte. puede ser un poco introductoria e incluso puede haber escenas poco interesantes. es como una introducci贸n en donde nos presentan a los personajes y la vida de la protagonista pero en donde realmente esta lo bueno es en la segunda parte. se me hizo mucho mas ligero de leer. estuve enganchada en todo momento y no pod铆a soltar el libro. sin duda lo que hizo que le ponga cuatro estrellas fue la segunda parte que me pareci贸 incre铆ble. digna de un libro 茅pico de fantas铆a. estrategias, traiciones, complots, muerte, parricidio, golpes de estado...la segunda parte lo tiene todo.

What is it about enemies to lovers? What part of my pea-sized brain got so absolutely scrambled that I enjoy, no - seek out - these kind of interactions. The tension. The drama. The quick wit and double-meanings and deception. Hand me a male antagonist who uses dry wit and a mask of cruelty to cover up any vulnerabilities with multiple books making him a three-dimensional, complex protagonist, and I am consumed. It's probably because I never got over the way Draco Malfoy was written in the end. ...more

After being in a bad reading moment because my brain blocked when it comes to reading, this book has been perfect to start reading again. An easy fantasy with a bit of enemies to lovers that most people will like.
I highly recommend it.
