Останах с доста смесени чувства към тази книга. А това се дължи основно на факта, че подходих с големи очаквания към нея.
И така, имаше много неща, които харесах в книгата � стилът, който в някои моменти беше прекрасен (в други � не чак толкова), героите, които макар да не обикнах, харесах достатъчно, за да изпитвам емпатия към тях (и май все пак към края ги обичах), взаимоотношенията в книгата, темите, които разискваше � еднакво важни, актуални и подтикващи към размисъл и финалът � финалът наис ...more

OMG I ugly-cried.
I thought this would be about just young love and teenage angst, you know the usual- identity, discovery of self, forgiveness and acceptance and it is, a very well-executed one but what I love best is that character developments are not just reserved for our young MCs. Their parents' characters grow together with them and honestly, it's quite moving to watch parents overcome their own fears and insecurities for the sake of their children. Chapters are short and to the point. Some in fact are only a few sentence long. It’s like reading Ari’s journal. Ari and Dante quickly became real people to me and I easily fell in love with them both. There is no complex plot with many moving parts. It’s just a simple story about two boys and how they discover themselves, the world and the part they play in it.
