What the hell!!! The ending omg!!!
I had really high hopes for this book and even though my expectations weren't fully met I still enjoyed the story and above all I loved the characters . Zafira and Nasir are the definition of Bi panic and Altair is also a cutieeee (even after what happened with D :/). Kifah is a queen, she is an icon, she is a legend and she is the moment and don't even get me started on Benyamin.

One Thousand and One Nights meets Assassin’s Creed.
Was this book overhyped? That’s a complicated question for me to answer. On one hand I loved the story and middle eastern themes prevalent throughout the novel, but on the other hand I couldn’t stand the pacing! The plot was enchanting and magical, I loved the complicated characters and their stories but the pacing distracted me from much of this. this book gave me like 6 heart attacks. One for each Sister.
I want to say this is one of my new favorites, and I have a feeling that if it was one of the first fantasy books I’ve ever read it probably would be. But either way, I really like it and I would 100% recommend it and will probably obsess over it so yeah it’s a favorite.
