I was initially kind of put off by the lack of world building, and character building. You’re just thrown in expected to like a person or dislike them because the lead says she does. But later, there is actually reasons for that. And the book ends with a lot of hot TEA! I’m definitely gonna pick up the next one. All in all, I enjoyed it.

Not perfect, but somehow still an addictive read. I always find JLA’s books enjoyable and easy to get into. I loved Poppy & Hawke, their dynamic really pulled me in. The story was interesting, though quite predictable, so I wasn’t too surprised by how it all ended.

Got a bit tired of the FMC’s inner monologues but Hawks� sassiness saved it 😬
Wow wow wow!!!!!� I am so in love with this book � major plot twist at the end too! Plot romance badass fmc incredible banter protective a** hole mmc and spice! Starting second book immediately
