I saw plenty of mixed reviews before picking up From Blood and Ash, but something told me I’d love it and I absolutely did!
The beginning was really strong. I was hooked right away and really liked Poppy as the FMC.

I was initially kind of put off by the lack of world building, and character building. You’re just thrown in expected to like a person or dislike them because the lead says she does. But later, there is actually reasons for that. And the book ends with a lot of hot TEA! I’m definitely gonna pick up the next one. All in all, I enjoyed it.
