This one takes place immediately following the events related in SUMMER LIGHTNING/FISH PREFERRED, published four years earlier. There may be a slight annoyance in discovering that the issues one thought were resolved at the conclusion of the previous book were nothing of the sort but, on the other hand, it's a Blandings Castle story and if one wanted a refreshingly different sort of tale with completely original characters, they probably would have shopped elsewhere. Essentially part two of Summer Lightning, Heavy Weather is a bit too close in plot to SL and without the lovely pignappings and the wonderful character of the Efficient Baxter to match SL as a high point in the writings of PG Wodehouse. The ending is also a bit overlong and meh. Good solid Wodehouse still, just best read as part of your Blandings read through than as a solo book.
