The first story which edges toward being a novella is a wonderful romp with the Lord Emsworth of the title and the whole gang at Blandings Castle. An air gun and Emsworth's erstwhile secretary the Efficient Baxter play memorable roles. This might be one of the funniest short stories bordering on novellas in the English language.
