A young Kentucky girl leaves her home to make a life for herself and ends up in Tucson, accompanied by an abused three-year-old girl named Turtle. This is a beautiful and tender story of how we can unconditionally love and accept one another. Funny too.
LOVE this book! Was my first barbara kingsolver and just loved her style. very magical, sweet, wise book. Such a treat!
